ExtraHop is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Cloud Services team and contribute to building a fault-resilient, highly available, and customer-centric platform.
The role involves developing scalable and secure customer-facing features that empower security and engineering teams to effectively combat threats.
The technology stack includes Python, Golang, TypeScript, and React, with a focus on security, scalability, stability, and type-first design.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining services in Go and Python, leading agile development processes, providing technical leadership, and addressing technical debt.
The R(x) 360 Platform is built on AWS and GCP, utilizing Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code, and aims to create reliable customer-facing services while promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of professional backend development experience.
Solid knowledge of Go, Python, or an equivalent programming language is essential.
Experience in API development, PostgreSQL database design, or SQL query performance optimization is required.
Candidates should have experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems.
Strong problem-solving skills, a self-starter mentality, and a proven track record of technical ownership are necessary.
Effective communication and collaboration skills are required, with experience in fast-paced, agile environments.
