Contentsquare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in data engineering.

The position is within the Data Privacy & Trust team, which consists of 5 members located in France and Spain.
The team is responsible for critical infrastructure that ensures data is used and governed responsibly at scale.
The role involves designing, building, and optimizing internal tools and systems to enforce data governance at scale.
The engineer will work closely with security, legal, and platform teams to ensure data flows are privacy-compliant and observable.
Responsibilities include improving performance and reliability of data pipelines and backend services, collaborating on complex projects involving data protection, access control, and pipeline observability, and participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical roadmap decisions.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 4โ8 years of experience in software engineering, ideally with exposure to data platforms.
Strong programming skills are required, preferably in Golang, but backgrounds in Scala, Java, or Python are also welcome if the engineering mindset is strong.
Experience with distributed systems, data processing pipelines, and cloud service providers is necessary, with familiarity in k8s, Clickhouse, AWS, and Azure being a plus.
An ability to think in terms of system design, efficiency, and scalability is essential.
Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.
A strong background from tech-driven companies is preferred.
