The role is remote across Australia and New Zealand, with the option to work from various campuses or co-working spaces.
Responsibilities include building impactful features that provide cloud cost insights, driving product development from idea to implementation, architecting for efficiency in cloud architecture, scaling the internal FinOps platform, and championing a FinOps culture within the organization.
The Cloud FinOps team focuses on promoting a cost-aware culture that empowers engineers to maximize the value of cloud spending while minimizing risks.
Requirements:
Proficiency in coding with Golang or Python, with a willingness to learn the other language.
Strong foundational knowledge of computer engineering principles to effectively solve problems.
Extensive experience with cloud services, particularly AWS, including EKS, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.
Experience in designing scalable, secure, and cost-conscious cloud architecture.
Fluency in infrastructure-as-code, preferably with Terraform, but experience with other tools is also welcome.
A strong sense of ownership over goals, whether working independently or as part of a team.
Ability to mentor and guide team members, fostering collaboration.
A curious and collaborative mindset, with a passion for problem-solving and connecting short-term actions to long-term goals.
