The Senior Software Engineer will work with a high-impact team of backend developers to improve service deployment, data movement across the platform, and automate operations for future scalability.
The backend engineering team specializes in developing robust and scalable Go microservices using a tech stack that includes AWS, Docker, Postgres, and Kafka.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs, contributing to the transition to microservices, optimizing database performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring engineers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with strongly-typed languages such as Go or Java.
Proficiency in writing maintainable, high-quality, robust code is required.
Experience in designing and developing microservices in cloud computing services like AWS, Azure, or GCP is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with SQL databases.
Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to engineering problems are essential, along with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Knowledge of message queues (such as SQS or Kafka) and asynchronous processing patterns is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
