Description:
The Data engineering team at Chime is focused on building a scalable data platform essential for the company's success.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build scalable data pipelines and frameworks.
You will have the opportunity to architect and create workflows that may set industry standards in fintech.
Responsibilities include being a hands-on data engineer, building, scaling, and optimizing ETL pipelines.
You will design data warehouse schemas and scale processes to accommodate 10x data growth.
You will take ownership of data quality, governance, schema design, and security.
You will manage the schema registry and dependency chart for persistent data.
You will ensure ETL workflows meet data quality and availability requirements.
Collaboration with partner teams such as Data Science, Analytics, and DevOps is expected.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience transforming data into governed and clear datasets is required.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in building and deploying production-quality data pipelines is necessary.
You should have 5 years of experience working with stakeholders to provide business insights.
Proficiency in writing Spark, AWS Glue, EMR, Airflow, and Python for at least 5 years is required.
You must have 3 years of hands-on experience with any MPP database system like Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or Teradata.
A proven track record of successful partnerships with Analytics, Data Science, and DevOps teams is essential.
You should understand key metrics for data pipelines and have built solutions to provide visibility to partner teams.
Benefits:
The base salary for this role starts at $176,490 and can go up to $245,100, depending on location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
