Collaborate with a senior team of engineers to deliver high-quality, seamless developer environments.
Strategize, plan, and deliver fast iterative improvements to new and existing developer tooling capabilities.
Drive clarity in ambiguous situations and take a hypothesis-driven approach to testing new ideas.
Collaborate with various teams in the DevX and Infra groups to ensure a cohesive end-to-end experience for every Canvanaut.
Work with stakeholders like Product Managers, Technical Project Managers, and other technology leaders to understand problems and drive initiatives forward.
Requirements:
Strong Computer Engineering/Science knowledge around fundamentals and first principles relating to concurrency, multithreading, data structures, architecture, and various design patterns is required.
Advanced coding proficiency in Python, Java, Golang, or Rust, along with strong Object Oriented Programming fundamentals is necessary.
Experience delivering improvements in developer tooling and environments at scale is essential.
A passion for eliminating friction and cognitive load for fellow engineers is expected.
Comfort in navigating ambiguity and taking a hypothesis-led approach to testing ideas is important.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work across the stack is required.
Great collaboration skills and a love for working cross-functionally with engineers, PMs, and technical leaders are necessary.
Thriving in a fast-paced environment and excitement about Canva’s hypergrowth is essential.
Hands-on experience using AI in coding/programming to drive greater impact is preferred.
