Remote Senior Software Engineer - DevOps

Description:

• The position is for a Senior Software Engineer - DevOps at Geminus, a fast-growing startup focused on machine learning and artificial intelligence for autonomous control of complex industrial systems.
• The role is remote or hybrid in Boston/San Francisco and is a full-time position.
• The engineer will take ownership of the company's infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security practices.
• Responsibilities include designing, maintaining, and scaling Azure-based infrastructure, managing Terraform-driven infrastructure as code, enhancing GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines, and strengthening security practices in alignment with SOC2 compliance.
• The engineer will also improve and maintain Kubernetes and Docker environments, build tools and automation scripts in Python and Bash, and collaborate with a small, skilled team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure roles.
• Strong experience with Azure, Terraform, and Kubernetes is required.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation tasks is necessary.
• A deep understanding of CI/CD best practices is essential, with experience in GitHub Actions being a plus.
• Solid security fundamentals are required, and familiarity with SOC2 compliance is a plus.
• The ability to operate independently and thrive in a startup environment where adaptability is key is crucial.
