Greenhouse is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join their post-hire ecosystem team.
This role will be the first dedicated Senior Front-End Engineer, responsible for shaping user interfaces and front-end architecture.
The engineer will collaborate closely with Ruby/Rails backend engineers and utilize AWS cloud, relational databases, and technologies like Kafka.
The position emphasizes ownership, collaboration, mentorship, strategic thinking, and advocacy for best practices in front-end development.
Responsibilities include designing and building user interfaces, leading front-end architecture evolution, collaborating on API design, integrating third-party applications, mentoring teammates, and contributing to team feedback processes.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience as a Front-end focused Software Engineer.
Proven experience in designing scalable and flexible front-end architectures is required.
Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and Typescript is necessary.
Strong knowledge of React, including Hooks and state management, is essential.
Experience in API endpoint design discussions and collaboration with backend engineers is required.
Candidates should be able to read and comprehend backend code, particularly Ruby/Rails at the controller level.
Experience in evaluating and integrating third-party technology solutions and APIs is necessary.
A solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and front-end build tools like Webpack is required.
Familiarity with UI component libraries, such as Material UI, is preferred.
Knowledge of accessibility best practices is a plus.

Benefits:
The national pay range for this role is $143,000 - $214,000 CAD, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.
Additional compensation may include stock option awards, bonuses, and merit increases.
