The role involves growing the engineering team and looking for Senior Full Stack Engineers to build customer-facing and internal products.
Full-stack engineers at Amper work in various contexts, building large APIs and microservices, primarily using Python and React for front-end development.
Engineers will face challenges in distributed systems and performance tuning, and will be involved in product development alongside a Product Owner.
Ideal candidates will have a strong appetite for the unfamiliar, value helpfulness and humility, and be able to teach and learn from others.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a SaaS or IoT environment.
Experience in designing distributed and highly-available systems, weighing trade-offs, and guiding others through implementation is required.
Fluency in one or more object-oriented languages (Python preferred), relational databases (including performance tuning and sharding), and distributed systems (including containerization, message queues, and parallelism) is necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Experience working in an early-stage, growing company is preferred.
Knowledge of DevOps tooling and practices (CI/CD, Monitoring) and experience deploying infrastructure (Infrastructure-as-code, cloudformation, ansible) are preferred but not mandatory.
