The Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack is responsible for leading the development of products in a fast, accessible, and thoughtful manner.
This role involves close collaboration with Product and Design teams on application design, user experience, developer workflows, deployment strategies, and testing of applications.
Responsibilities include working with product, design, and clinical staff to understand stakeholder needs and build services and features to help deliver care.
The engineer will own their work from the inception of ideas to their use in production.
They are expected to write and maintain well-tested code across multiple services.
The role also involves helping to build and maintain metrics, monitoring, performance, and security of the systems owned by the team.
Additionally, the engineer will build foundational data models that provide flexibility and operational visibility.
Requirements:
Candidates must have significant professional experience in building and maintaining consumer-grade web applications, with at least 6 years of experience.
Experience with full-stack web development is required, including proficiency in modern frontend frameworks, with React being a must.
Strong programming skills, knowledge of computer science fundamentals, and experience in implementing highly reliable software are essential; a formal CS degree is not required.
Candidates should have experience building complex, scalable, and reliable services, along with leadership experience.
Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills are necessary for this position.
Hands-on experience with backend development is required.
Familiarity with current technologies such as React, Go, JavaScript, Rails, GraphQL, Docker, and AWS is a bonus.
