Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer (Golang) will play a critical role in modernizing high-traffic shipping platforms and driving cloud-native transformations.
• This position involves working with a small, high-trust team responsible for mission-critical systems used by millions of customers daily.
• Responsibilities include building scalable, low-latency, and high-throughput services while refactoring legacy systems and designing new cloud solutions.
• The engineer will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to deliver innovative features, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement best practices in Go development.
• The role offers the opportunity to influence platform architecture, mentor teammates, and shape a product with real-world impact on the logistics industry.
• Key accountabilities include designing, coding, testing, and optimizing high-performance Go services, refactoring legacy systems, and building cloud-native solutions using Azure, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• The engineer will participate in peer code reviews, mentor teammates, and enforce Go best practices including microservices patterns and gRPC.
• Troubleshooting and resolving production issues in low-latency, high-throughput environments is also a key responsibility.
• The role requires documenting technical processes and creating clear, maintainable guides for future engineers.
• Continuous improvement of platform performance, reliability, and developer experience is expected.
• Building and maintaining automated unit, integration, and performance tests is part of the job.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of software development experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years, or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong proficiency in Go is essential; familiarity with additional languages like Python or C++ is a plus.
• A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, design principles, and backend frameworks is necessary.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence is required.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts is essential.
• The ability to analyze complex problems and provide effective solutions is necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to convey technical ideas to diverse audiences.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus.
