The Senior Software Engineer (Golang) will play a critical role in modernizing high-traffic shipping platforms and driving cloud-native transformations.
This position involves working with a small, high-trust team responsible for mission-critical systems used by millions of customers daily.
Responsibilities include building scalable, low-latency, and high-throughput services while refactoring legacy systems and designing new cloud solutions.
The engineer will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to deliver innovative features, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement best practices in Go development.

Key accountabilities include designing, coding, testing, and optimizing high-performance Go services, refactoring legacy systems, and building cloud-native solutions using Azure, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
The engineer will participate in peer code reviews, mentor teammates, and enforce Go best practices including microservices patterns and gRPC.
Troubleshooting and resolving production issues in low-latency, high-throughput environments is also a key responsibility.
The role requires documenting technical processes and creating clear, maintainable guides for future engineers.
Continuous improvement of platform performance, reliability, and developer experience is expected.
Building and maintaining automated unit, integration, and performance tests is part of the job.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of software development experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years, or equivalent experience is required.
Strong proficiency in Go is essential; familiarity with additional languages like Python or C++ is a plus.
A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, design principles, and backend frameworks is necessary.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence is required.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts is essential.
The ability to analyze complex problems and provide effective solutions is necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to convey technical ideas to diverse audiences.
Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus.
