The Engineering Efficiency team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance backend development tools and processes.
The role involves using quantitative feedback from engineers to identify areas for improvement and communicate priorities internally.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and improving backend Continuous Integration (CI) workflows, optimizing automated test scaffolding with Mocha, and enhancing the default development environment.
The engineer will create new tools and processes to accelerate the software development lifecycle and help measure engineering work while eliminating impediments.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a development background with experience in Linux, scripting, and tool development.
Experience with CI pipelines using Github Actions is required.
Proficiency in Grafana and building dashboards to track key metrics is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with test optimization in Mocha.
Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and NodeJS is essential.
Familiarity with infrastructure tools such as Azure/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar positions is necessary.
