Description:

• Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Chat Apps team, responsible for building and scaling new chat messaging channels.
• The team has launched an existing channel, LINE, which is popular in Japan and other Asian markets, and is currently building a second channel, Kakaotalk, for South Korea.
• The role involves building new features, improving performance, and providing guidance on architectural decisions, with a focus on front-end architecture for rich messaging.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with a strong focus on front-end web development.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript tooling such as React, Vue, or Angular, including experience in writing automated tests, is required.
• A strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms is essential.
• Candidates should be self-starters with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Prior experience working in a team environment is necessary.
• Bonus qualifications include professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Sidekiq, as well as experience with agile processes and building distributed systems at scale.
