Smartsheet is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer II to join the Developer Productivity team.
This role is critical for impacting the speed and quality of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining test frameworks, infrastructure, distributed testing solutions, and pipeline automation.
The position involves modernizing legacy test code and infrastructure while working on a modern technology stack.
The engineer will be a key player in creating a more efficient and reliable development environment that supports both microservices architecture and existing monolith.

The position can be remote from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of software development experience building highly scalable and highly available applications.
A minimum of 7+ years of programming experience with full stack technologies such as Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript is required.
At least 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies like AWS or Azure is necessary.
Experience in developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs is essential.
Candidates should have 1+ years of professional experience designing, building, and maintaining AI-augmented features for enterprise SaaS products.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
