Remote Senior Software Engineer - (Java) Backend (Open to remote across ANZ)

Description:

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver impactful end-to-end user experiences.
• Responsibilities include leading the design and development of backend services, driving collaboration to deliver product features, evolving backend architecture, championing engineering best practices, writing robust code, guiding design and code reviews, and maintaining service health.

Requirements:

• You must have extensive experience building complex backend systems in production environments.
• Strong Java fundamentals are required, with the ability to write production-grade code and apply backend concepts like multithreading and performance optimization.
• You should be comfortable taking ownership of features from architecture to delivery and thrive in environments where you drive the process.
• Attention to detail and the ability to ship reliable, maintainable code quickly are essential.
• You need to be a thoughtful collaborator who works well across disciplines and brings others along in the process.
• Understanding how your systems connect to product goals and long-term scalability is important.
• Enjoy mentoring others and providing constructive feedback to elevate the technical standards of your team.
• Hands-on experience using AI in coding/programming is preferred.
