  • Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining IaC solutions that simplify the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure.
  • The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to building cutting-edge developer platforms.
  • Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining the overall IaC solution for Twilio's cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, integrating best provisioning practices into the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines, and managing Terraform solutions for internal systems.

Requirements:

  • A strong sense of ownership, customer empathy, and the ability to empower others through clear communication and collaboration is required.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently with multiple global teams in developing, configuring, deploying, and operating Twilio’s platform infrastructure.
  • The ability to think at scale and focus on continuous delivery methodologies from design through deployment and operations is essential.
  • Proven experience in Platform Engineering, particularly in designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions in a cloud-based SaaS environment is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience writing production-grade code in modern programming languages such as Go or Python is necessary.
  • Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi), infrastructure provisioning testing frameworks, Kubernetes, and AWS concepts is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues, are essential.
  • Participation in team on-call rotations is expected.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment are necessary.
