Description:

• We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Growth and Experiences India team at Confluent.
• The role involves contributing to our industry-leading cloud platform, which includes extensible service frameworks, resource lifecycle management, and seamless onboarding experiences.
• Your contributions will enhance the efficiency and velocity of Confluent Cloud Connect and Hub product releases by accelerating development across the engineering organization.
• You will build mission-critical experiences that deliver tangible value to our customers, focusing on architecting, designing, developing, and operationalizing high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient user experiences.
• The position requires partnering with engineering teams and key stakeholders to drive the execution of complex technical projects end-to-end within defined timelines.
• You will propose, lead, and implement technical initiatives that align the team with industry best practices around code quality, observability, and testing.
• The role includes guiding the team and contributing to architectural design decisions, providing feedback and direction on the delivery of technical architecture.
• You will uphold a high standard of engineering excellence by actively participating in technical discussions, reviewing specifications, and making thoughtful recommendations.
• The position requires transforming ambiguous technical problem statements into actionable plans and driving execution in collaboration with the team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of industry experience in designing, building, scaling, and supporting front-end systems in production.
• A strong foundation in software engineering best practices such as code reviews, quality assurance, and thorough documentation is required.
• Familiarity with software development tools (e.g., Semaphore CI, Jenkins) and practices that streamline and optimize all phases of the development lifecycle is necessary.
• A strong focus on project delivery and effective communication, with a customer-centric mindset and a collaborative approach to teamwork, is essential.
• Proven experience in mentoring team members by providing constructive feedback, supporting their technical development, and guiding them in their career growth is required.
• Candidates must have a strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (especially ES6+), React, HTML, and CSS, as well as unit and integration testing frameworks.
• Experience in building user-centric applications and large-scale frontend infrastructures is necessary.
