The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Developer Experience (DevX) team, focusing on building internal tooling and frameworks to enhance mobile development velocity.
The role will enable Brigit to scale rapidly, innovate quickly, and deliver exceptional financial products that impact users' lives.
Responsibilities include building and enhancing internal tooling and infrastructure, resolving friction points in the software development lifecycle, and improving core mobile frameworks and libraries.
The engineering team aims to build products that users love and ensure the scalability and maintainability of customer-facing applications.
The position offers significant autonomy and ownership, allowing for a large say in the direction of technology and product development.
Recent team accomplishments include building a Payments API platform, implementing advanced mathematical processes for a proprietary risk algorithm, and enhancing user notification capabilities.
The role is full-time, based in Brigit’s New York office, with the option to work remotely 2-3 times per week.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with React is required.
Prior experience in developing internal developer tooling or infrastructure is necessary.
Experience with CI/CD tooling or frontend build systems is essential.
Knowledge of software development tools and related technologies, including build systems, automation, dependency management, and security, is required.
Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+) and familiarity with modern frontend tooling and automation is necessary.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role.
