Remote Senior Software Engineer (Node/TypeScript/React/AWS)

Description:

• Squiz is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Product Engineering Team on a permanent basis, focusing on improving capability across their Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
• The role requires a well-rounded engineer who enjoys working across the entire stack of AWS, Node, TypeScript, and React, and is comfortable moving between different problem domains within a product platform.
• The team consists of a Team Lead, 2 or 3 Software Engineers at different levels, a Designer, and a Product Manager.
• Responsibilities include developing and enhancing robust application code, collaborating with team members to generate User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, assisting with medium to large scale projects, writing and maintaining software documentation, and adhering to best practices in software development.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional hands-on experience in software development, building and maintaining software products.
• Proficiency in full-stack development is required, with expertise in web-based languages and frameworks including Node, TypeScript, React, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• A solid understanding of testing principles and experience in implementing testing strategies to improve software quality and robustness is necessary.
• Experience with Agile or other iterative development methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban, is required.
• A basic understanding of secure coding practices, especially community standards such as OWASP, is expected.
• Fluency in English and Polish is mandatory.
• Candidates must be based in Poland with full working rights.
• Previous experience working on DXP or CMS platforms, or experience integrating or using DXP/CMS platforms is a nice-to-have.
