Remote Senior Software Engineer, Perception

Description:

• AeroVect is a Series A company focused on transforming ground handling with autonomy for airlines and ground service providers.
• The Senior Software Engineer, Perception will train, deploy, and monitor 2D/3D object detection models using Camera, LiDAR, and Radar.
• This role involves building and maintaining a data collection, labeling, and evaluation metrics pipeline.
• The engineer will also maintain a proprietary multi-modal dataset for training and evaluation purposes.
• Additionally, the position requires architecting a deterministic secondary perception system.
• The engineer will mentor junior engineers on best practices in the field.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Deep Learning, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 3+ years of focused experience in perception, including sensing, preprocessing, detection, and tracking.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and ROS2 is necessary for this role.
• The ability to work autonomously is essential.
