The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong backend foundation and a startup mindset to join the Growth & Insights team.
The role involves supporting and evolving two actively growing SaaS platforms: ASAI and Press Play.
Responsibilities include resolving live incidents, managing ad hoc stakeholder requests, building new features, and evolving existing ones.
The engineer will work on reducing technical debt and improving system reliability through pragmatic problem-solving.
The position requires switching between short-term reactive work and longer-term proactive work.
The engineer will work hands-on with relational and NoSQL databases, particularly MySQL and BigQuery.
Collaboration with engineers, analysts, product managers, and the team lead is essential.
The role includes building and maintaining a healthy DevOps pipeline across GCP, with ownership over incident response, app stability, and API performance.
Contribution to team practices such as testing, documentation, and coding standards is expected.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development, preferably in fast-paced or startup environments.
Experience with AI coding tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Windsurf is required.
Strong expertise in Python, including FastAPI, Pydantic, async processing, and scheduling tools like Composer/Airflow is necessary.
Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable navigating cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
Deep experience with database design and management, including relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL systems (especially Google BigQuery) is required.
Skills in query optimization, data modeling, and debugging performance bottlenecks are necessary.
Hands-on experience with API design, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and automated testing (unit + E2E frameworks) is expected.
Sharp debugging skills and a solutions-oriented mindset are essential for resolving system issues.
Confidence in ownership, independent delivery, and navigating ambiguity is required.
