We are seeking an experienced and proactive Software Engineer with strong PHP and React.js skills to join our team.
You will play a key role in developing a new subproduct within our clientβs portfolio, which is a robust human capital management solution that streamlines HR processes, enhances employee engagement, and simplifies payroll.
This position is remote and available for candidates located in Brazil, Argentina, or Colombia.
You will lead backend development on a long-term project, improving payroll and HR experiences for thousands of users.
Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and optimizing features with PHP and React.js, driving performance, scalability, and reliability of a widely used payroll platform.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of commercial development experience with PHP and React.js.
Strong experience with MySQL and MongoDB is required.
Hands-on experience with AWS and knowledge of cloud best practices is necessary.
A deep understanding of REST APIs and web application architecture is essential.
You should have experience with Git, unit tests, and maintaining code quality.
Experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, high-performance systems is required.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills are necessary.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
An upper-intermediate+ English level is required.
You should demonstrate strong ownership, motivation, and accountability.
Desirable qualifications include hands-on experience with payroll or HR system development, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker), and experience collaborating in distributed teams with English-speaking stakeholders.
