As a Senior Engineer on the Platform team, you will own and evolve the email, calendar, and contact APIs, processing over 10 million API calls daily.
Your role includes building new API features, maintaining high reliability, and developing the backend for the AI meeting bot, "Notetaker."
You will set the technical direction for the Platform team, influence design decisions, and lead high-visibility projects.
The position requires a balance of hands-on software development, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements:
A BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent is required.
At least 4+ years of experience in backend development on high-impact projects is necessary.
You must be a solid backend engineer with an understanding of systems, high concurrency design patterns, and distributed system concepts.
Hands-on experience in building and maintaining applications, including both API and client-side implementations, is essential.
Experience developing and testing with Go and Python is required.
Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
Experience with modern databases and storage solutions is required.
Some experience with containers and related infrastructure, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is needed.
Some experience with Cloud Services, preferably AWS or GCP, is required.
You should be familiar with using AI tools like Cursor, Windsurf, or Copilot to enhance development and code quality.
