The Senior Software Engineer will work with full stack Product Engineering teams to develop a React-based fleet management interface and a Python/Django API.
This is a remote full-time role for candidates located in Australia within the AEST timezone.
The engineer will collaborate closely with the Engineering team on the east coast of Australia and the Dallas, United States team as needed.
Responsibilities include building and managing internal and customer-facing applications, improving CI/CD pipelines, and scaling infrastructure to support rapid expansion.
The role involves working on various projects, including new management interfaces, dynamic reports, and tools for fleet capacity visualization.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience as a software engineer, working on production applications both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Python and Django, or a similar back-end language, along with experience in React or similar front-end frameworks is required.
Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation, as well as RDBMS fundamentals, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL, is essential.
Experience in cross-functional, agile teams in a fast-paced environment is necessary, with familiarity in CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Buildkite and/or GitHub Actions.
Candidates should have experience with AWS services, particularly S3 and ECS, and observability tools like Datadog.
Full, unrestricted work rights for Australia are required, as immigration assistance is not available for this position.
Bonus points for experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, advanced mathematics concepts, physical hardware, high-throughput data applications, or hardware projects.
