The Senior Software Engineer will proactively build systems and identify and mitigate product security level issues while collaborating with the product team to detect potential issues in production.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining custom scripts and tools for threat detection, analyzing security data, collaborating with cyber security professionals, and continuously improving threat hunting methodologies.
The role also involves advising product teams on security best practices, creating detection rules, responding to security incidents, and integrating threat intelligence into detection mechanisms.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required; certifications like Certified Ethical Hacker are a plus.
A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in software engineering is necessary.
Candidates must have expert-level understanding of software engineering skills with Java, C#, or other object-oriented languages, focusing on application security best practices.
Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and knowledge of OWASP Top 10 is desirable.
Strong scripting skills in languages like Python or PowerShell are highly desirable.
Candidates should have an appreciation for account security, app security, threat hunting, and incident response.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential.
