Remote Senior Software Engineer, Quality

• The Senior Software Quality Engineer will define and drive software quality initiatives across application engineering and services teams.
• Responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable, AI-augmented test frameworks and embedding automated quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• The role involves collaborating with AI tools like Cursor and Visual Studio Code to enhance productivity.
• This position allows for contributions to the codebase, submission of PRs, and building intelligent systems to prevent bugs before production.
• The engineer will work closely with developers, product managers, and support engineers to elevate quality across the stack.
• This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be located in Argentina or Brazil, and it is a long-term Independent Contractor position.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software or quality engineering, with a strong foundation in coding and test automation.
• Experience in building or extending automation frameworks from the ground up is necessary.
• A track record of contributing to production code, including fixing bugs and enhancing developer workflows, is required.
• Fluency with AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor or GitHub Copilot is essential.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js is required, with a bonus for navigating large codebases.
• Strong analytical skills to break down product requirements into testable components are necessary.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS), containers (e.g., Docker), and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) is required.
• Experience in validating data quality and integrity is necessary.
• Comfort in testing and automating REST APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger is required.
• SQL expertise for data analysis and test validation is necessary.
• Excellent debugging instincts and a proactive mindset for finding and fixing issues are required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
