Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Agile Software Engineer for the role of Senior Software Engineer to join the Digital Hub RBA team.
The team is responsible for the T-Home Ordering Process (THOP) and THOP.B2B applications, which are crucial for generating significant revenue for the company.
The IT system allows various stakeholders, including retailers and call centers, to access landline business processes via web frontends and web services.
The role involves working within a SCRUM team that has been developing THOP using agile methodologies since 2018.
Responsibilities include analyzing requirements and refining user stories, designing solutions with system architects and developers, developing and implementing new features, supporting team members, enhancing test automation, identifying and resolving bugs, expanding system monitoring, documenting features, maintaining and refactoring code, and analyzing legacy code.
Requirements:
Proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and RichFaces.
Experience with backend technologies including EJB, Spring Boot, and Java versions 8, 11, and 17.
Familiarity with communication protocols like SOAP and REST.
Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Git and GitLab.
Experience with middleware and messaging systems, specifically IBM MQ and ActiveMQ.
Skills in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in database management and ORM frameworks, particularly Hibernate and Oracle DB.
Scripting skills in Python and bash/ash for development environments and GitLab Pipelines.
Experience with testing tools like SOAP UI, Selenium, and JUnit.
Additional advantageous skills include understanding relational databases, cloud-based development, Agile methodologies, version control systems, and knowledge of the German language.
