Remote Senior Software Engineer - Security Center

Description:

• The Security Center team’s mission is to provide customers with awareness about the security of their ServiceNow product and offer insights and tools for remediation.
• The role involves building high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes, including code reviews and unit testing.
• Responsibilities include working with product owners and designers to understand requirements, owning code from design to delivery, collaborating with fellow developers and quality engineering peers, and contributing to both new products and features while enhancing existing products.
• The position requires troubleshooting customer environments, debugging code, exploring and integrating ServiceNow AI capabilities, and mentoring peers to foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and engineering excellence.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a proactive mindset and strong initiative, along with a collaborative spirit and curiosity to learn continuously.
• A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience is required, or 3 years with a Master’s degree.
• Strong proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented languages and experience developing applications in JavaScript is essential.
• A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and performance optimization is necessary.
• Candidates should have strong analytical and design skills, experience mentoring engineers, and a track record of supporting customers with critical production issues.
• Experience in integrating AI into work processes or decision-making is required, including using AI-powered tools and automating workflows.

• The position offers a base pay range of $126,700 - $215,400, plus equity, variable/incentive compensation, and benefits.
