Remote Senior Software Engineer & SME (Java, Springboot, Microservices)

• The Senior Software Engineer will help transform and modernize the nation’s lawful systems and adjudication process, supporting millions of applicants in Citizenship and VISA processing.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 15 years of enterprise full-stack software engineering experience is required.
• Expert level experience with Java (with Springboot) and microservices architecture is necessary.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and containerized applications hosted in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure is essential.
• Experience with message-driven distributed systems using tools like ActiveMQ, SQS, and Kafka is required.
• The candidate must have the ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies.
• Strong communication skills are needed to convey technical issues to non-technical individuals and to effectively communicate current activities.
• The candidate should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and an extremely organized self-starter.
• The ability to establish priorities and execute tasks to achieve results is crucial.
• The candidate must be able to work independently and respond quickly to changes.
• A BA/BS degree is required, and additional years of experience cannot substitute for the degree.
• A minimum of 15 years of overall experience and specific experience in the field is required.
• A Public Trust clearance is necessary to start, and the candidate must be a US Citizen.
