The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will join the Vault Platform team to ensure the scalability and reliability of enterprise applications.
Responsibilities include building cloud infrastructure, driving reliability and scalability, leading incident management, automating and optimizing processes, and providing full-stack diagnostics.
The role involves strategic engineering partnership, influencing design, cross-functional collaboration, backend focus, effective communication, and mentorship.
Requirements:
Candidates must have deep Java expertise with 5+ years of experience in Java development, preferably within enterprise cloud software companies.
Hands-on operational experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment is required, including incident management and root cause analysis.
Proven ability to write clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code within a collaborative team setting is essential.
Experience with a range of open-source technologies such as Spring, MySQL, Hibernate, Solr, Maven, Git, Tomcat, Linux, AWS, Vagrant, Docker, and Kubernetes is necessary.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in relational databases with expert-level SQL skills.
Solid scripting proficiency with languages such as Shell, Bash, Ansible, Python, Go, or Ruby is required.
A demonstrated history of incident management and leadership ability, along with effective communication skills across all levels, is essential.
Proven record of making the team better through mentorship is required.
The role requires a working schedule of Monday - Friday, 2 PM - 10 PM PST, and candidates must be located in the HST or PST time zones.
