Xero is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a fixed-term position focused on Syft Integration.
This role is fully remote and can be based in the UK, including Milton Keynes, London, or Manchester.
The engineer will support the integration of Syft Analytics, a cloud-based reporting and analytics platform, into Xero's ecosystem.
Responsibilities include creating high-quality, scalable software, automating manual processes, and participating in code reviews.
The engineer will design and perform testing activities to ensure product quality and coach team members on testing standards.
The role involves resolving development or production issues, contributing to engineering standards, and maintaining knowledge of development technologies.
The engineer will champion modern software practices, participate in recruitment processes, and support engineers in delivering software in a production environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must have previous experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions at scale.
Proficiency in Node.js (Express) and React is required, with the ability to build scalable and reliable solutions using these technologies.
Extensive hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and backend systems is necessary, including full lifecycle ownership of production-level codebases.
Demonstrated success in mentoring junior engineers and establishing technical best practices within teams is essential.
