The Senior Software Quality Engineer role at ServiceNow focuses on ensuring the quality of AI-powered search and workflow automation features within the Now Platform.
Responsibilities include maintaining existing automation test frameworks, collecting and reporting quality metrics from test execution, and collaborating with developers to design specific testing strategies for features being developed.
The role also involves creating comprehensive test plans, executing and automating them, and partnering with engineering organizations to troubleshoot or address issues with applications and development/test environments.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and Java programming with Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG is required.
Applicants should have 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a Master's degree, or a PhD without experience, or equivalent work experience.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools, frameworks, or platforms such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, Azure OpenAI, or LangChain is necessary.
Fluency in scripting with JavaScript and experience with Eclipse, Jenkins, Maven, and Git are required.
Knowledge of various testing techniques, including performance, unit, integration, and automated testing, is essential.
Candidates should be able to use tools such as IDEs, debuggers, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, and system administration/Unix tools to assist with daily tasks.
Experience in driving cross-team technical discussions and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts are also required.

The position offers a base pay range of $112,800 - $191,800, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation, and benefits.
