The Senior Solution Architect - Data and AI will contribute to the evolution of the company-wide data, AI, and analytics platform, serving central teams and markets.
This role is crucial in shaping the architecture of the next-generation data platform using AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, and advanced AI technologies.
The position involves designing and architecting end-to-end solutions for data platforms, integrating data lakes, warehouses, and advanced analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities include developing reference architectures, guiding the integration of modern database technologies, and designing ML platform solutions.
The architect will ensure compliance with IT security policies, conduct security reviews, and collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements.
The role also includes evaluating emerging data and AI technologies, establishing best practices, and creating comprehensive documentation for all solutions.
Mentorship of junior architects and staying updated with industry trends are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in designing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud-based data platform solutions.
Extensive hands-on experience in Big Data, Distributed Systems, and Cloud Architectures, particularly on AWS, is necessary.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in designing data platforms using Databricks is required, with additional architecture experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Matillion being desired.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and IAM services on AWS.
Proven experience in designing AI/ML platform solutions, including ML lifecycle management and MLOps, is essential.
Familiarity with generative AI capabilities and patterns is preferred.
Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as strong knowledge of data integration methods, is required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
