You will devise innovative solutions that accelerate federated graph rollout, surface new use cases, and unlock greater business value.
You will share insights from the field to improve Apollo’s documentation, open source libraries, and platform features.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Apollo’s product and engineering teams to help shape solutions to challenges faced by advanced engineering organizations.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering or architecture roles, including customer-facing or consultative experience.
You should be passionate about helping teams of all sizes succeed beyond their expectations.
You need to value empathy and enjoy engaging with users and customers to solve their problems, establishing yourself as a trusted partner.
A solid technical foundation in GraphQL and enterprise data delivery is required, along with comfort in writing code, reviewing architecture, and working peer-to-peer with engineers.
You should have a track record of delivering timely results, demonstrating organization and follow-through.
A creative, “can do” attitude is essential, with a commitment to finding solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
You should be passionate about mentoring and collaborating with others.
Proven experience in designing, building, and operating high-scale distributed systems is necessary, including hands-on implementation of backend GraphQL services.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java, or similar programming languages is required.
Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Istio, and OpenTelemetry is preferred.
Experience in developing technical plans and documentation that enable customers to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable architectures aligned with their business goals is essential.
A deep understanding of API security, observability, and performance best practices in distributed systems is required.
Strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions is necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to simplify and convey complex technical concepts clearly.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence technical strategy across diverse teams is essential.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $158,000 - $186,000 a year, which includes base salary and variable compensation.
