Confluent is seeking a Senior Enterprise Solutions Engineer to drive the technical evaluation stage of the sales process.
This role is critical for customer success as real-time data streams become increasingly important in modern enterprises.
The Senior Solutions Engineer will act as a key technical advisor to the sales team and work closely with product management and engineering teams.
Responsibilities include advancing new and innovative Data Streaming use-cases from conception to Go-Live, executing and leading Technical Proofs of Concept, and conducting Discovery & Whiteboard Sessions.
The engineer will provide thought leadership by delivering technical talks and workshops, guide customers with hands-on help, and analyze customer consumption trends to identify optimization opportunities.
Strong relationships with key customer stakeholders will be forged, serving as a dependable partner throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
Requirements:
Candidates must become a trusted advisor to key customer personas, including Software Engineers, Architects, and Technical Executives.
The ability to autonomously lead engagements with customers while collaborating with Account Executives and other internal teams is essential.
An understanding of MEDDIC/MEDDPICC or similar frameworks used for qualification is required.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills are necessary, with confidence in presenting to highly skilled audiences, including enterprise architects and C-level executives.
Experience in technical sales of distributed systems, infrastructure software like databases, message queues, SaaS, or Big Data products is required.
Some experience in Java or Python and familiarity with developing ETL applications is necessary.
A Bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science or relevant experience is required.
