The Senior Specialist Solutions Engineer will work with clients to understand their business needs and current applications landscape to develop a security posture that meets their needs.
This role involves utilizing the Cloudflare One product portfolio, which includes various Zero Trust offerings such as Remote Browser Isolation and email security solutions.
The engineer will collaborate closely with Account Executives, generalist SEs, and other teams at Cloudflare, including Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support.
Responsibilities include serving as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding prospects through the Solution Design and Proof of Concept stages, achieving Pipeline and Revenue goals, understanding customer IT landscape and security requirements, articulating the benefits of Cloudflare One, and promoting retention by identifying product gaps.
Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate curiosity and learning agility.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in network architecture and design, including DDoS mitigation and similar technologies, is required.
Experience interacting with senior-level executives to communicate network and security transformation is essential.
Familiarity with trends in cyber security, including RAT/trojans, malware, ransomware, phishing, adware, cryptomining, spam, botnets, and scareware is necessary.
A fundamental understanding of customer network and application architectures is required.
Strong technical knowledge of network hardware, software, and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routers, and switches is needed.
Experience with network virtualization technologies like VMWare and Hyper-V is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
The ability to work independently and in a team environment is necessary.
Relevant certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP and above are required.
Candidates should be able to perform hands-on configuration when needed and manage projects while prioritizing competing goals.
