The Senior Staff Engineer on the Agent Foundry team will lead the architecture and implementation of complex full-stack systems that power intelligent agents.
This role involves collaborating with Product, CX, and the AI Platform team to rapidly scope, prototype, and launch agents.
The engineer will design and build reusable patterns, frameworks, and abstractions for agent development.
Responsibilities include integrating AI models and services with Ridgeline’s unified data model and platform APIs.
The engineer must ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable within Ridgeline’s architecture.
The role requires partnering with Product squads to ensure smooth handoff, adoption, and long-term success of agents.
The engineer will contribute to Ridgeline’s internal best practices for generative AI and mentor engineers to drive engineering excellence across the Foundry and beyond.
Evaluating and applying generative AI advances while weighing tradeoffs of performance, reliability, and cost is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant full stack development.
Experience leading and delivering end-to-end features in cloud-native production systems is required.
A deep knowledge of modern front-end and back-end technologies such as React, Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, or similar is essential.
A strong understanding of LLMs and AI-driven architectures, including RAG and agent frameworks, is necessary.
Familiarity with prompt engineering, structured output generation, and AI integration patterns is expected.
Expertise in RESTful API design, scalable data workflows, and security best practices is required.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical ideas clearly.
A passion for clean code, iterative development, and measurable outcomes is important.
Experience with generative AI development tools like Cursor and ChatGPT is preferred.
Benefits:
The typical starting salary range for this role is $200,000-$235,000, with a higher range of $212,500-$250,000 in select locations such as the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area.
Final compensation will be determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise.
