Remote Senior Staff Engineer, Data Analyst

• The Senior Staff Engineer, Data Analyst will have a total experience of 10+ years.
• The role requires strong working knowledge of data architecture, data warehousing, and data lake concepts.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL and writing optimized SQL queries is essential.
• Proficiency in Python for data ingestion, transformation, and automation is required.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for data visualization is necessary.
• The candidate should have experience with data modeling, semantic layers, and KPI definitions.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools for version control and pipeline automation is expected.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially DataFlow and Cloud SQL, is important.
• Exposure to Looker LookML development and semantic modeling is a plus.
• Understanding of modern data lakehouse architectures is required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential.
• Responsibilities include understanding functional requirements, envisioning overall solutions, determining design methodologies, enabling application development, leading/supporting UAT and production rollouts, creating and validating work breakdown structures, addressing issues promptly, providing constructive feedback, troubleshooting complex bugs, and carrying out proofs of concept.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• The candidate must have a total experience of 10+ years in relevant fields.
• Strong working knowledge of data architecture, data warehousing, and data lake concepts is necessary.
