The Financial Services Division (FSD) Engineering team is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead the Cloud and Big Data analytics ecosystem in a non-traditional, agile environment.
This role involves providing strategic technical leadership for the real-time API platform, which is essential for high-throughput services across the ecosystem.
The Senior Staff Engineer will report to the Software Development Director and act as a hands-on technical leader, influencing architecture and implementation across multiple teams.
Responsibilities include guiding important decisions, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the platform meets demanding Service Level Agreements for latency, reliability, and throughput.
Key tasks include architecting and evolving the real-time API platform for scalability, low-latency, and high availability, leading design and implementation of platform-wide projects, and partnering with various teams to align technical execution with priorities.
The role also involves bringing complex projects from concept to production, leading technical deep dives, and improving engineering quality through reviews and postmortems.
The Senior Staff Engineer will lead the reliability, scalability, and performance of real-time APIs and work with SREs and DevOps to enhance observability and incident response.
