Responsibilities include building web applications and services using Python, Django, Postgres, and AWS.
The engineer will deploy applications to a Kubernetes cluster and ensure they can scale horizontally through performance testing.
The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical problems, building unit tests, and maintaining existing code with a focus on documentation and automated testing.
The engineer will collaborate with the team on platform architecture and participate in interviewing new team members.
Mentoring junior engineers and providing direction on software development best practices is expected.
The candidate must prioritize work effectively to meet product delivery timelines and review code to drive technical excellence.
Staying updated on programming and technology trends and generating innovative technological solutions is also part of the role.
Requirements:
A proven track record in large enterprise SaaS software, distributed systems, scalability, and continuous development is required.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6-9 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 4-7 years of experience.
A senior-level skill set in core programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or C/C++ is necessary.
Experience with distributed systems and inter-service communication protocols and APIs, such as REST and NSQ, is required.
Proficiency in working with relational databases and SQL is essential.
