The Senior System Engineer will deploy, configure, maintain, and support ICT infrastructure, including firewalls, networks, Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), storage, and backup solutions.
The role involves working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Responsibilities include performing firmware upgrades, patching, and power maintenance across customer infrastructure.
The engineer will deliver end-to-end infrastructure services, including requirements gathering, solutioning, implementation, and post-deployment support.
The position requires leading or participating in infrastructure projects, including UAT and go-live support.
Support for both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure is essential.
The engineer must ensure infrastructure performance, availability, and service levels through proactive monitoring and adherence to SLAs.
Accurate and timely updates of incidents using the incident management tool are required.
Management of IT asset inventory and software license compliance is part of the role.
Participation in and support for DR/BCP testing and other IT governance activities is expected.
The engineer must deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Basic IT training and awareness for end users may be required.
This position operates on a permanent night shift schedule.
Requirements:
A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support, preferably in a System Integrator or IT services environment, is necessary.
Proven experience in Windows Server administration (2012 to 2025) is required.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V is essential.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and AWS services is necessary.
Knowledge of network and firewall configuration is required.
Experience in storage and backup solution management is essential.
A strong understanding of server and network fundamentals is necessary.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize independently are required.
Strong communication and project coordination skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
A customer-focused mindset with attention to detail and follow-through is necessary.
The candidate should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
