Remote Senior Technical Consultant - Network Security

• AHEAD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer with expertise in Palo Alto Prisma Access and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing network security solutions to protect enterprise environments.
• Candidates must possess deep technical knowledge of network security frameworks, Zero Trust principles, and cloud-based security models.
• Responsibilities include communicating and executing architecture strategy to client senior management and stakeholders.
• The engineer will implement design architecture objectives that align with client demand and business goals.
• The role requires designing, deploying, and optimizing Palo Alto Prisma Access solutions for secure remote access.
• The engineer will implement and manage Cisco ISE to enforce network access control policies.
• Development and maintenance of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) strategies across hybrid environments is essential.
• Integration of Prisma Access with SD-WAN, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and on-premises infrastructure is required.
• The engineer will design, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco ISE for 802.1X authentication, TACACS+, and RADIUS.
• Defining and enforcing security policies, segmentation strategies, and threat prevention techniques is part of the role.
• The position includes providing technical leadership, mentoring, and documentation for internal teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills are necessary.
• The candidate must demonstrate the ability to deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in network security engineering or a related field.
• Expertise in Palo Alto Prisma Access and Cisco ISE deployments and configurations is required.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and identity-based access controls is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Zero Trust architectures and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) is necessary.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network security issues using packet capture and log analysis tools is required.
• Experience integrating network security solutions with cloud environments and authentication systems is needed.
• Previous consulting experience is required.
• Preferred qualifications include Palo Alto PCNSE and Cisco CCNP Security or CCIE Security certifications.
• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform is preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills for cross-team collaboration are necessary.

• The compensation range reflects the On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount, varying based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
