Remote Senior VoIP Software Engineer

• We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team.
• This role focuses on the design and development of resilient VoIP and SIP-based systems for emergency communications.
• The position is REMOTE and can be performed from anywhere in LATAM.

• Main activities include architecting, developing, and deploying new features for SIP and voice-centric applications, building and maintaining live transcription and call recording systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and security across voice infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve real-world safety challenges, leading strategic architectural decisions, developing testing tools and monitoring systems to ensure call quality and reliability, participating in code reviews, and owning meaningful parts of the platform.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years focused on VoIP/SIP.
• Proven experience developing VoIP, SIP, and Real-Time Communication services is required.
• Proficiency in Python is necessary, or a willingness to learn; experience with Go or C/C++ is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based environments and network protocols is essential.
• Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, SIPp, libpcap, and BSD socket programming is required.
• Experience scaling solutions with automated testing tools and frameworks is necessary.
• Experience building or integrating AI-driven solutions is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• Candidates must be highly self-motivated and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is necessary.
