Xello is seeking a Senior Web Engineer who has both technical expertise and a passion for delivering outstanding responsive web experiences.
The role involves optimizing mobile user experience, performance, and addressing challenges in hybrid app development.
The Senior Web Engineer will work closely with the mobile staff engineer to transform the responsive web app into a seamless native-like application using Capacitor, Angular, and modern web technologies.
Collaboration with web developers, designers, and product managers is essential to ensure students can access Xello’s tools on any device.
Responsibilities include driving execution and shaping recommendations for the responsive mobile technical roadmap, designing and implementing Angular-based solutions, and recommending responsive mobile strategies.
The engineer will also collaborate with UX/UI designers, support mobile release strategies, create mobile-specific solutions, optimize mobile web performance, ensure accessibility standards, and work with QA on cross-device testing strategies.
Requirements:
A solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue is required.
The candidate must have a keen eye for identifying bottlenecks and optimizing app performance, responsiveness, and resource usage across devices.
Skills in adapting web-based designs to create a native-like app experience with a focus on usability and smooth interactions are necessary.
Proficiency in setting up continuous integration and deployment pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or Azure DevOps is essential.
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with mobile device emulators are required.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary, with experience collaborating with web developers, designers, product managers, and QA teams.
The ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code with a focus on long-term maintainability and scalability is expected.
