  • The Senior Workday Systems Engineer will design, build, test, document, and support Workday Integration and Platform solutions across the full suite of Workday modules.
  • This role involves analyzing user requirements, evaluating issues, and developing or updating automated solutions that meet business requirements.
  • The engineer will participate in projects, system implementations, and improvement initiatives.
  • Leading collaborative discussions on technical design is essential to ensure the quality and timeliness of project and product deliverables.
  • The position reports to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications Security.
  • Responsibilities include designing and configuring Workday solutions and integrations, collaborating with business leaders to gather and document detailed requirements, and providing guidance on platform capabilities and limitations.
  • The engineer will lead brainstorming and requirements gathering workshops, stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in HR & Finance, and partner with business leadership on escalations and cross-functional impacts.
  • Participation in Workday's semi-annual release process is required, along with leading/participating in peer reviews of integrations and code development.
  • Maintaining awareness of new and planned Workday functionality and engaging with the Workday Community is crucial.
  • The engineer must maintain service delivery excellence, proactively communicate progress to stakeholders, and demonstrate support for the company's mission of journalistic independence.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Workday functionality, modules, and integrations is required.
  • Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience with the implementation and functional configuration of Workday Financials and/or HCM modules.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining Workday integrations using EIB, Cloud Connect, RaaS, Studio, and Orchestrate is necessary.
  • Preferred qualifications include Workday Security experience, experience with Workday Extend, experience with Workday Adaptive, and experience building Prism applications.
