Virtuous is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (.NET) to join their Engineering team.
This role is cross-functional, working closely with the Support team and reporting to the Director of Engineering and the Director of Technical Support.
The mission is to enhance product reliability and support efficiency by resolving complex customer issues, building internal tools, and promoting engineering practices within Tier 2 Support.
Responsibilities include resolving complex support tickets, building internal support tooling, and equipping the Support team with engineering knowledge.
The engineer will troubleshoot complex .NET service behaviors, debug support requests, drive resolution of customer-reported bugs, and maintain empathy for Support and customers.
The role also involves creating tools for the Support team, identifying patterns in escalations, and mentoring Tier 2 agents on technical systems.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong expertise in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core).
Experience in SaaS environments and a deep understanding of multi-tenant systems, APIs, and distributed application behavior is required.
A passion for debugging complex edge cases and strong communication skills are essential.
Candidates should be curious and proactive, with a willingness to engage with customers during high-impact incidents.
Bonus points for experience with Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Redis, Hangfire, Application Insights, DataDog, Zendesk, and Jira, as well as prior experience in Site Reliability or Customer-Facing Engineering roles.
