Description:

  • Virtuous is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (.NET) to join their Engineering team.
  • This role is cross-functional, working closely with the Support team and reporting to the Director of Engineering and the Director of Technical Support.
  • The mission is to enhance product reliability and support efficiency by resolving complex customer issues, building internal tools, and promoting engineering practices within Tier 2 Support.
  • Responsibilities include resolving complex support tickets, building internal support tooling, and equipping the Support team with engineering knowledge.
  • The engineer will troubleshoot complex .NET service behaviors, debug support requests, drive resolution of customer-reported bugs, and maintain empathy for Support and customers.
  • The role also involves creating tools for the Support team, identifying patterns in escalations, and mentoring Tier 2 agents on technical systems.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong expertise in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core).
  • Experience in SaaS environments and a deep understanding of multi-tenant systems, APIs, and distributed application behavior is required.
  • A passion for debugging complex edge cases and strong communication skills are essential.
  • Candidates should be curious and proactive, with a willingness to engage with customers during high-impact incidents.
  • Bonus points for experience with Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Redis, Hangfire, Application Insights, DataDog, Zendesk, and Jira, as well as prior experience in Site Reliability or Customer-Facing Engineering roles.
