Sectigo is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their global team.
The role involves designing and implementing solutions to reduce toil and ensure the reliability of critical services.
This is a full-time remote position, ideally for candidates located within a 1-hour vehicle commute from Manchester, U.K.
Responsibilities include ensuring the reliability of products and services, maintaining production infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools, building and maintaining monitoring systems, automating deployments and administration, and collaborating with engineering and information security teams to improve operability and security.
Additional duties may be assigned related to the role and company initiatives.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, technology, or a related field is preferred.
Candidates should have 3+ years of software and/or operational experience in building and maintaining internet-facing production environments.
Experience in running and maintaining real-world build systems such as Jenkins, DroneCI, Concourse, or Travis is required.
Familiarity with non-cloud infrastructure and experience in a large-scale 24/7 production environment is necessary.
Strong scripting abilities in Bash and Python are essential.
Candidates should have deep knowledge of source control tools, with Git preferred.
Extensive experience with Configuration Management tools, particularly Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform, is required.
A good understanding of container technology (Docker) and experience in container orchestration technology (Kubernetes) is expected.
Demonstrable experience with the entire software life cycle, including Systems Architecture, Design, Implementation, Maintenance, and Operation is necessary.
Programming experience in writing HTTP Service APIs is required.
Virtualization experience (VMWare) and network administration experience are a plus.
Exposure to Security and Testing frameworks, as well as compliant regulated industries such as Finance, Healthcare, or Government, is advantageous.
