As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will identify, design, and develop technical solutions to automate production systems.
This role involves collaboration with internal and external business and engineering teams.
You will have the opportunity to lead efforts to instill a culture of Site Reliability Engineering at Skyflow.
The position requires support in the USA timezone, either from 8 PM to 2 AM IST or 4 AM to 10 AM IST.
Daily tasks include utilizing programming languages like Python and Go, container orchestration services, and various AWS tools.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating tools/systems, and evaluating software reliability and performance.
Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of hands-on experience, with at least 2 years in infrastructure automation and software delivery using SRE practices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is required.
Coding experience in Go (preferred) or Python is necessary.
Experience with SRE tools like CloudFormation/Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible is essential.
Hands-on experience with Linux Systems Engineering, Docker, Kubernetes, RDBMS, and scripting for automation is required.
You should be able to work with distributed teams to provide technical guidance and leadership.
A solid understanding of migration and modernization challenges is necessary, along with the ability to choose the right path based on experience.
Expertise in application observability patterns and site reliability practices is required.
Extensive experience working with large distributed infrastructures is essential.
