  • Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases at scale is necessary.
  • The ability to work end-to-end across the stack, particularly in owning backend complexity and integrating with UI components, is essential.
  • A solid understanding of async workflows, queues, background jobs, webhooks, and system state transitions is required.
  • Familiarity with GCP services or a willingness to engage with them is expected.
  • Openness to using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Github Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate development and improve code quality is important.
  • Strong debugging and system design skills, along with the ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions, are necessary.
