Chordline Health is seeking a highly experienced and versatile Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 4–5 years of focused automation testing experience and 8+ years overall in Automation, ETL, and Manual QA.
This role combines deep US Healthcare domain expertise with strong technical skills across automation frameworks, ETL validation, and manual QA.
You will work on complex client-server and web-based applications, validate data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional product quality.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and other modern tools.
You will execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across frontend, backend, APIs, and data pipelines.
The role involves validating ETL workflows and performing backend database testing using SQL and PL/SQL.
You will conduct RESTful API testing using Postman and automation tools like RestAssured.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure quality across Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall projects.
You will analyze requirements, user stories, and defects; create and manage test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.
Integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub Actions is required.
Maintaining documentation and test artifacts using Jira, Confluence, and test management tools is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4–5 years in automation testing and 8+ years total in QA, including automation, ETL, and manual testing.
A strong understanding of US Healthcare, including HIPAA compliance, HL7/FHIR standards, claims adjudication, and payer/provider systems is required.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Bash, and Groovy is necessary.
Experience with testing frameworks and tools like Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Nightwatch.js, Cucumber, Appium, BrowserStack, Pytest, TestNG, JUnit, Maven, BDD (Cucumber), and POM (Page Object Model) is essential.
Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins (including Pipelines), GitHub Actions, and LaunchDarkly (Feature Flagging) is required.
Knowledge of databases and ETL processes, including MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle (PL/SQL), SQL Server, data warehouse concepts, normalization, and SQL scripting is necessary.
Experience with project and test management tools like Jira & Jira Advanced Roadmaps, Xray, TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM, and Confluence is required.
Proficiency in version control systems such as GitHub and Teamcity is necessary.
Strong knowledge of QA principles, SDLC, STLC, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and defect lifecycle is essential.
Proven experience in building and scaling automation frameworks using Data-Driven and Behavior-Driven models is required.
Expertise in cross-browser and cross-platform testing environments is necessary.
ISTQB or equivalent certification, experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling), and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are considered nice to have.
